"The piece is inspired by a meeting with my dear friend Magdalena, to whom I dedicate this piece. It captures the moods and thoughts I was experiencing at that moment.
At first, it was embarrassment, discomfort, and curiosity, which gradually turned into deep satisfaction and became the inspiration for the composition." ~ Marysia Łojko

as a mystical practice

Inspired by Polish artistic folklore, greatly influenced by the work of Oskar Kolberg, this cycle of three songs for soprano, bass clarinet, classical guitar, piano, and ceramic sound installations draws from classical and contemporary music, as well as vocal-instrumental theatre. It illustrates three key moments of transition in human life: Birth, Wedding, and Death (Funeral).

The piece was composed for a concert held as part of the opening of an exhibition of Anna Maria Krycia's works of the same title. The project was co-financed by
by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The premiere took place on January 20, 2023 at the Nadodrze Infopoint in Wrocław.

JAMA Festival – 77. ročník Milana Adamčiaka

Concert of the participants of the VENI ACADEMY 4×4 project (premiere, solo and ensemble parts)

An artistic and educational project bringing together young composers and performers from the Visegrad countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary) working in contemporary music. It combines a multi-day workshop on new music performance with an expanded ensemble/chamber orchestra, based on works by four composers selected through a competition for the performance of their graphic scores. Lectures and rehearsals took place at the Academy of Music in Banská Bystrica.

The project was co-financed by the International Visegrad Fund and ISCM in Slovakia.
